Bay Kitchen Bar opening soon in East Hampton

If you were wondering when some new Hamptons spots would be arriving this year, it seems that Bay Kitchen Bar will definitely be one making an early entrance.

Over the past few days, one traveling on Three Mile Harbor Road in East Hampton can see — upon passing the corner of Gann Road — a sign declaring: “Bay Kitchen Bar…Opening April 17.” (This is an uncommon development, as new seasonal venues on the East End tend to open in May.)

Only a month ago, the placard previously posted at that same site read “Andrra,” an advertisement for the business formerly located at 39 Gann Rd. — but word had spread that Andrra would not be returning in 2014 and that Bay Kitchen Bar was to be the next resident restaurant at that address – a fact that is now double-confirmed, both by the aforementioned corner sign and a new marker placed at the bottom of the stairwell that leads to 39 Gann.

Mainly an eatery, its menu lists several upscale seafood dishes – but as for its nightlife component, details are still yet to be fully publicized – however, with a sunset-facing, second-floor view of Three Mile Harbor, a daily happy hour from 4 p.m. until sundown and cocktails available (including a signature blackberry julep), it does seem that Bay Kitchen Bar will be vying for customers from both the dining and social crowds.
